About the author

Dr. Diederick van Thiel is CEO of AdviceRobo and a leading expert in embedded finance and AI-driven innovation.

Named London Fintech CEO, his ventures have been listed in the European Fintech Fifty. Before founding AdviceRobo, Diederick served on the boards of ING and KPN, and has been holding non-executive roles at Ikano, Ikano Insight, and Channel Capital. A published researcher and visiting professor with a PhD in behavioural economics, he explores how human-centred AI can build a more inclusive, intelligent financial world. Brilliant Data is his third book, a personal account of leaving the corporate boardroom to build something new: technology that serves humanity.
